Begin the day with spa-quality EO soaps under a rain shower in the Spanish-tiled bathroom. Later, settle on the plush sofa to stream some Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Max, WOW, or Amazon Prime. Out back, the sunny garden is surrounded by tall plants for extra privacy.
Set on a quiet cul-de-sac, you are a short walk to both BART (Glen Park; Balboa Park) and MUNI stops, providing you with easy access to most places in SF. The unit is also conveniently close to major highway entrances. Uber and Lyft drivers are also plentiful in the area.
The newly renovated space is perfect whether you are here for work or on holiday. Each bedroom faces out on to the garden and has a queen-sized bed, with high-quality mattress. There are also large closets and lots of shelves in each room.
When you are not out sight-seeing or working, you can unwind watching TV, out on the back deck, or in the custom bathroom with rain shower. If you are here for work, the kitchenette dining table doubles as a full-size desk, providing plenty of space for your PC and reviewing documents. You’ll have free access to lots of streaming services for tons of TV show and movie options.
There is a full-size washer and dryer in the unit. A few laundry detergent sheets are provided for your convenience.
Please note that the unit does NOT have a full kitchen. The kitchenette has a full-sized refrigerator, sink, coffee machine (Keurig K-cup pods only), microwave, and toaster oven. With so many wonderful restaurants and plenty of food delivery options, our guests have not missed a stove/oven. If you would like to do some light cooking, we can also provide 2 portable induction stovetops and basic cooking pans / utensils. Please ask for details.
THE HOUSE
The space is on the 1st floor of a 2-story house in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a separate entrance on the side of the house, which offers you full privacy when coming and going. I’ll be more than happy to meet you when you arrive, or you can check yourself in and out using the keypad lock.
While we live on the 2nd floor, how much interaction we have is up to you but you are always welcome to contact us for general questions or recommendations. Also, since we occasionally hold the space for our out-of-town guests, the upstairs and downstairs areas are separated using very secure, hotel-style adjoining doors. They lock from both sides and can only be opened from the inside of the downstairs unit. This ensures that we cannot enter the downstairs space and that our guests cannot open the upstairs space. The Mission Terrace neighborhood is extremely safe and quiet, just a short hop to all that the city center has to offer. Walk 3 minutes to Balboa Park, which offers tennis, swimming, and basketball. Both MUNI and Bart stops are also moments away.
Parking: There is plenty of street parking and no residential parking permit is required. However, transportation alternatives are plentiful so a car is not required.
Public Transportation: We are about 10 minutes walk to either the Glen Park or Balboa Park BART stations, which take you in no time into the Mission District, the Financial District, downtown, Union Square, Moscone Center, and the Embarcadero. It also gets you fast to the SFO airport, or other parts of the SF Bay Area (Berkeley, Oakland, or further away into the East Bay). MUNI, SF’s light rail option, is a 5 minute walk away and will get you over to Noe Valley, Castro, and Mission neighborhoods in no time. Bus lines are also nearby.
